13.1 and no Thoughts
I ran my usual weekend half-marathon run on Saturday and don't remember a single thought I had. I remember running, sights, smells, cars, sweating, but I don't recall thinking about a single thing. This may be a miracle. I ran for 2:02:57 and didn't think about anything. I'm either getting better at dissociating or I'm having peace not yet felt before. I'm leaning towards my serotonin levels rising and therefore the ability to relax and enjoy the moment. I could get used to something like this.

Jason . . . my friend . . . mi, agmigo . . . please give us Woody back . . . it was classic and a lot of fun . . . seriously, it was very cool!
Plus, your new picture sucks . . .
Sounds like a great experience... All I can think about when I run is how I can't wait until I'm finished and how much x body part hurts... I'm a sissy... :)
Don't like the new birdie pic? If you insist....
Stick with the running-- body parts actually stop hurting and it feels great to be running. Seriously.
AH!!! The new picture is creepy! he he he!
I'll just pretend I believe you about stopping hurting... :) Hopefully running will be easier in the near future...
the blank mind is a wonderful rarity. most enjoyable
i'm looking forward to when running stops hurting. maybe that would come if i could ever discipline myself to run more regularly (currently on an accidental 2 week hiatus).
blank minds are cool
I tried out a new experiment on my 2 hour run, yesterday: I've read by two physiologists that when you start to get tired, speed it up and see what happens.
At the 1:20:00 mark, I started feeling a little achy/fatigued, and then took it up a notch. I couldn't believe how much better I felt increasing the pace. It's pretty counter-intuitive, but I've done it twice now and it's as good as or better than slowing down.
***Disclaimer***
I run all the time and am used to long training sessions. Please be smart and don't hit me if speeding up doesn't work for you.
I won't hit you because speeding up doesn't work, but can I hit you just because I feel like it? :D
As if I would.
